Dropped the ball? I thought the fight did 925K buys which was a big improvement over the first fight that Schaefer handled.

Funny that after such a successful card, Floyd is looking to get rid of Ellerbe after his first promotional job netted them Floyd's 2nd best buy rate under the Showtime deal. You would think they would be thrilled by the results.

And after such a great first stab at it, you would think Floyd would be eager to have Ellerbe steering the Mayweather Promotions ship as the lead promoter in the upcoming Pacquiao fight.

Strange that it all seems like doom and gloom on the Money Team after such great success

After Schaefer's departure, Golden Boy's system was still in place. So the anonymous and still unconfirmed 925K buys reported by Kevin Iole was all Golden Boy & Showtime's work, not Ellerbe.

It seemed that Ellerbe basically only had some extra administrative work to do as promoter and he "dropped the ball". Just from listening to him on TV/radio interviews, it's clear that Ellerbe only cared about the vanity of having a CEO title, not having the know-how of actually doing the job.

I'm pretty sure this plan was in place well before fight night. No one is as ****** as to think he's doing it because of where his daughter was sitting. We're not kids now.

Putting a second belt on the line and paying those huge sanctioning fees was a major screw up. Should have only had one sanctioning fee for one belt!

All blame for that decision must go to Ellerbe and Floyd. You'd think that at least Haymon would've said something, which I'm sure he did after the fact and probably too late to fix.

It looks like Ellerbe was a paid ass kisser who got lost when actually asked to work for his money. Mayweather said there will be a lot of changes to TMT. Guess he's finally realizing he's throwing away a lot of money on ass kissers.
