Mayorga vs Margario at 147 who wins?

Basically. Mayorga probably hangs on to hear the final bell but he would've been getting ****ed up. He sagged badly in the latter part of the Forrest rematch. He basically won rounds because Forrest was spooked.

Aside from the first Forrest fight I haven't seen anything from Mayorga that shows he was ever elite. He's known for that KO and occassionally landing a big shot against an elite fighter that sometimes didn't even win him the round. Margarito was all wrong for Mayorga, not vice versa.

besides cotto what fights did margs show his eliteness...

was it failing to beat mediocre santos in 2 tries
was it barely getting past clottey
was it losing to williams
was it getting pummeled by shane

Watch it again.... Mayorga was a live dog in that fight until the end, and that was highly suspect....

old mayorga won more rounds than margs did vs cotto 2 in cotto's next fight, same goes for the shane fight

There is no doubt that margs would come head first into mayorga, and ricardo would be able to land his bombs all night... Margs is not equipped to handle a firefight like that... He needs to bully guys, and really cant unload toe-2-toe, like a tito, or toney could...

I disagree that Forrest was better than Cotto and I think he was too lead-footed and not powerful and active enough to beat Miguel head to head. But this debate is getting nowhere. Agree to disagree.
