I just watched the KD again. He went down like a sack of **** no doubt but doesn't look that hurt.

Haven't seen the rest of the fight so I don't know how his legs looked after that. Eyes look clear.
You may be right; I forgot they fought twice. Haven't watched those fights in ages. I ordered Margarito's career collection about 7-8 years ago (back when he was still unknown) and really watched him. First thing that stood out was while his beard was solid, it wasn't what he's sort of gotten a rep for today. But...I also think his boxing skills are seriously overlooked. Can't see a guy like Mayorga beating him. Not in 2002 or ever.

Margs didn't fold up any of the guys I mentioned, so I think it's funny when people act like margarito would just **** out Ricardo at welter like he is cintron, or some other young green fringe prospect that margs feasted on..

Margs never did well fighting top guys... He couldn't best Daniel santos and he had 2 chances... Barely got by clottey in a war... Got outfought vs Williams.. Totally pummeled by old shot Shane, yet people think he is gonna run thru mayorga.. No chance.. Mayorga would do him like he did that other Mexican tough guy Vargas... They don't want none of Ricardo
          Yes you are.

Never did well? See that just tells me that you actually never seen the fights against Santos, Clottey and Williams. If you did, you must of completely forgotten and just go off boxrec like majority of people on here do.

In the 2nd Santos fight, Margs was in a close fight before the cut stoppage(which was completely home cooking). Also, for a guy that deserved the win or a draw at best, he was doing a great job. He was in the other fighter's home, outweight(Santos was 10-15 pounds heavier), and was still pressing the action.

Clottey, he just folds once he sees too many punches going his way. LOL you said in a war. Clottey was already mentally defeated by the mid rounds. Please don't move the goal post and play the broken hand excuse, it has been debunked many times.

He didn't get outfought by Williams. He lost the majority of early rounds but it's pretty obvious that was going to change in the mid/championship rounds, which it did. Williams barely got the decision, if he didn't win that last round, it would of been a draw.

Know what you're talking about before making ridiculous claims like most do against Margarito.

            1. I have seen all the fights.. Watched most of them live and remember all the circumstances leading into it..

            2. Margs was beaten by santos at welter.. Years later they had a rematch at 154 and santos carved up margs face, and sure margs was starting to gain momentum, but the fact is he is 0-2 vs santos, and never folded him up

            3. Clottey was dominating margs till he broke his hand... ,arts is lucky to escape with a win over clottey.. And once again margs didn't fold anyone

            4. Williams beat margs by letting his hands go... Once again margs didn't fold anyone up... Lmao at your desperate attempt to justify margs performance by saying "if he won the 12th it would have been a draw"" you sound like one of those ******ed klitchko fans that think vitali's best win his is loss to Lennox..
Williams didn't have the power at welter that Ricardo possessed yet he was able to punish margs and make his head snap back like a pez dispenser

            5. Margs needed to be the bigger bully in a fight to be successful... If you could stand up to him, margs would have little success..

            6. Name the fight at welter where mayorga got bullied and folded up... Dude would wreck chin first margarito...

            7. All you gotta do is see faded mayorga out fighting Shane a lot of the time, and then see Shane in his next fight destroy margs... Very next fight... Faded old mayorga did better vs old Shane than a prime margs did.., but you fools think he would fold mayorga,, lmao

                1. I call bullshit!!!

                2. Beaten by a cut stoppage? Ok!!!!! You said "he couldn't fold Santos twice". Well Sherlock, if you'd know how pressure fighters fight(easy if you're a boxing fan of a variety styles), a lot of them fold you in the later rounds. Something that couldn't happen in both fights with Santos. You're talking fact that he's 0-2, lol dude you're missing a simple rule true before the 4th round.

                3. Here we go again with the broke his hands. All he had WAS A BRUISE!!

                4. He let his hands go, true, but mostly in the early rounds and in the final round. Go actually watch the fight. Paul Williams even stated the strongest fighter he has ever faced is Margarito. This is someone that had a good chin and was good at taking punishment.

Ricardo Mayorga's style was made to beat actual boxers due to awkwardness. Mexican brawlers can see that style from a mile away, at least the good ones. Either way, IT'S A FANTASY FIGHT. There is no way to prove Margarito can beat Mayorga in his prime nor vice versa. You're making up stuff to justify Mayorga, I like Matador too brah.

Prime Margs was a beast among beasts and I have enjoyed his career. He was falsely accused and it was clear as day to those of us who dug a little deeper into the situation. Mayorga, while fun to watch, would have gotten blown out by Margs.

I swear there are some real idiots on here. Mayorga would eat overrated Margarito alive. Anyone who says otherwise don't know **** about boxing.

How can anyone think that "letting your hands go" is the only thing you need to do to beat Margarito?

What does that even mean? Don't all fighters "let their hands go"? I didn't realise it was so easy. Makes you wonder how he was a multi time World champion. All his opponents must have just stood there and not thrown
