Fighters that Canelo struggles with = ones that move around a lot and are highly evasive. Cotto is not that kind of a boxer. He cuts off the ring well but stands his ground on the whole. I think this is more of a 60-40 fight in favor of Canelo due to size, youth and speed.

i agree, i used to think that canelo was gonna be to much for cotto, but for some reason i started to think that miguel can pull it off, even though canelo should be the favorite

sergio martinez is a top class "argentine great" not a great.
he had one fight that appeared to define what a "great fighter" he wasnt/isnt against the hitman hearns throw back paul williams.
a string of fights against domestic british fighters was about his lot.
i liked his style, hands low, accurate, good combos with power in a single shot and very tough, i would put him on a par with somebody like andre ward in terms of what people believe and what actually is.
to be great, you gotta beat great. and again....
martinez is nothing more than "verge" world class of the moment.

Cotto isn't going to "beast" through Canelo despite what Cotto was able to do to Martinez. Different fight totally and Canelo has the tools to fight his style of fight. It will be competitive but I think Cotto may be in for a surprise with Canelo's skills.

maybe, but it's not due to the martinez fight, i don't know, i started to think he might have a decent chance

This is a really good fight. I like Cotto more, but I feel like Canelo's age will be his advantage.

i think roach has rejuvinated miguel in some ways but, he has always been very disciplined and patient...like a cat...wait..wait...wait...kill.
it was always going to happen against martinez but, i think many people were shocked at how easily and quickly the stoppage came.(not me, check my posts on this bout).
what makes miguel have an even greater chance of beating the younger fighter is his better boxing skill against better faced opposition.
canelo has only fmj and did the opposite of what miguel cotto did.
                fmj vs canelo= complete shutout.
fmj vs cotto=best chance anybody had of beating him.
so you see, cotto hasnt aged anymore than the younger canelo but, got better and his confidence of beating the boy is very high.
andre ward to face galovkin. they are universally nobodies to the public at large and carl froch to face the winner of a third encounter between the saint of the degay boy.
marquez to face floyd next and khan to go away and get bummed.
                pacman to face jet li.
and i would like to put my thumb in the A55 HOLE of floyds 8itch and scoop out a great big poop!
                fack you all.

It would be Canelo's toughest fight to date. Because unlike the rest of the people Canelo has ever fought (with the exception of Cotto's brother who brought the fight to Canelo like no one ever before) Miguel Cotto knows how to FIGHT and won't try to pitter patter the **** out of Canelo to squeak by on a points decision like other named "fighters."

This will be a Great War. One boxing should appreciate.

Either way, I say it doesn't go the distance. If i had to bet, I'd bet on cotto just because of the experience and roach, who has brought out the old, punish the body cotto
