Whoever hurts the other the most will win. Both are very good boxers, canelo has the edge in speed but it's nothing cotto haven't seen before.I've never seen canelo hurt but he's never fought a guy as powerful as cotto. Either way, I say it doesn't go the distance. If i had to bet, I'd bet on cotto just because of the experience and roach, who has brought out the old, punish the body cotto

good post peeps and even greater matchup. im a fan of both fighters, been following cotto longer though. my first though, canelo too young too strong. then i think, cotto is a veteran and can box. he boxed margocheato beautifully in the second fight. great foot work and and counter and combos. there are so many other factors hand speed, timing, counter punching, body punching they both have. cotto definintely has better footwork. the more i think about it, i would have to go with cotto. i would love to see this fight may 2. would have huge ppv numbers. mexico puerto rico. cha ching $$$$

Fighters that Canelo struggles with = ones that move around a lot and are highly evasive. Cotto is not that kind of a boxer. He cuts off the ring well but stands his ground on the whole. I think this is more of a 60-40 fight in favor of Canelo due to size, youth and speed.

Cotto has extremely underrated footwork. It actually has gotten alot better when he signed up with pedro.
