Maidana Canello anyone?

Canelo would absolutely brutalise Maidana. The fight would be stopped within 6.

It might be alright, I don't think Canelo would get knocked out though he seems pretty stout.

Canelo's main issue will be he doesn't really clinch which is a key to beating Maidana easy and he doesn't have the greatest footwork to give him space that way.


I think Canelo probably wins a tough close fight but I think a lot of people would dispute the decision as it would just be that kind of fight where you would like what one guy did.

I think that would be a great fight to watch. I'd go with Canelo by close decision by if Maidana beat him, I wouldn't be entirely surprised. Very nice matchup.

canelo via knockout. that kid literally can't make JMW any longer, and he can punch. he's just too big, given chino's style.


now, if they were the same size, it would be a much tougher fight for canelo, but i still think he wins. he's a technician.

if you odn't have footspeed, or a style that will keep you out of exchanges, you don't want to fight canelo alvarez [unless you're making a boatload of dough.]

canelo is a very good offensive fighter, especially against a welterweight who doesn't move much.
