Mhm, maybe HBO is more professional, but I honestly think showtime is better for new fans. I think if guys like Rigondeaux, Crawford, Andrade etc. were at showtime they would be much bigger. Showtime promotes their fighters much better for example: Santa cruz, Thurman, Broner, Porter etc.
Well actually boxing should just be at ESPN, that would be the best lmao
Thats because HBO was always the kingping. But im talking bout the last 2 years when Showtime made the deal with Mayweather. Just look at all these prospects from Showtime, they are promoting them way better than HBO. Showtime is in my opinion better in makin stars..
I personally think HBO does a way better job, everything showtime does is a ripoff of what HBO does.
24/7 > All Access
Face off > whatever showtime equivalent is
portrait of a fighter > whatever showtime equivalent is
2 days > whatever showtime equivalent is
greatest hits > whatever showtime equivalent is
coutdown show> whatever showtime equivalent is
Both actually SUCK AT IT to be honest, they still Terrestrial Radio Commercials to Promote/Sell Fights LMFAO who the *** still listens to Terrestrial Radio?
Until one of them build up another star and a major draw in boxing NOT NAMED PACQUIAO or MAYWEATHER, that is how you determine who is better at Promoting. Boxing for HBO and Showtime does not bring ratings to the Network, both struggling to reach 1 Million Views which is laughable to be honest for those that remember the ratings they use to pull in with Roy Jones, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis and others in the past and that was when HBO and Showtime was is far less Homes
So both suck at it but HBO is the better overall network and has the bigger Audience because it is Better Network. Not many people are subscribed to either Network strictly for boxing though!
Both all access and 24/7 annoy me when they get grandiose. The last episodes last 5 minutes always drive me nuts, talking about the solar system aligning and all that BS.
Main Events' Kathy Duva commented something of this nature about HBO. She wished that they get more proactive when controversies arise. They're like Haymon's counterpart. They don't respond to any criticism, good or bad.
Even then they still beat Showtime by a landslide last year, despite losing all of Schaefer's fighters.
