    Showtime vs HBO promoting..

I personally think showtime promotes their fights way better than HBO. They are more active on social media. They also promote their prospects way more.. I dont like Showtime because they dont have good matchups, but thats more Al Haymon his fault. I dont hear a lot of HBO fights on the internet etc, especially their prospects I just never hear anything bout them. Compare the promoting of Demetrius Andrade (HBO) and Keith Thurman (SHO). I could be wrong since I dont live in America and I just check boxing trough the internet mostly. I would like to hear your opinions bout the promoting..
PS: Yes this could also be a Top Rank vs GoldenBoy topic.. But a lot of HBO fighters are not on Top rank.

Agreed there. Showtime is more active in social Media and they post the All-Access to youtube right away.

Other than that, HBO's production when it comes to Boxing is on a different level compared to Showtime. The writing and production on 24/7 make All-Access look like a high school project. Even HBO's little features have quality and effort put into them.. Things like "2 Days" and those little stories they do about Buffer and Kenny Bayless are great. Lampley's Fight Game show is a decent boxing program, even though many disagree with him about things. He does do a good job of getting casuals spun up on what's going on in the sport though.

HBO's boxing package as a whole is just better. HBO uses boxing as kind of a real-life drama series like Game of Thrones. You dont need big time names for a show like GoT to be interesting. You just need characters and compelling story lines.

Showtime tries to use boxing as .. I dont know wtf Showtime is doing actually. Still trying to wrap my head around Garcia/Salsa.

I personally think HBO does a way better job, everything showtime does is a ripoff of what HBO does.

      24/7 > All Access
Face off > whatever showtime equivalent is
portrait of a fighter > whatever showtime equivalent is
2 days > whatever showtime equivalent is
greatest hits > whatever showtime equivalent is
coutdown show> whatever showtime equivalent is

      HBO> showtime IMO

Yea, I forgot about Faceoff.. And the "greatest hits" medleys that HBO puts together are AWESOME. I usually show them to casuals to get them spun up on fights.

Like if someone hasnt heard of GGG, Ill show them this:

Then they're like like, "OOOOH.. I would like to see more!"

Sometimes I watch the Pac greatest hits just because..

I'll agree they're more active on social media/personal accounts. Thanks to them I know about the Latin Goonies.

Most HBO guys just have their own guy run there's, cuts down the possibility of them saying/posting something ******, unless that's hat their followers are into

All I know is that 24/7 blows All Access out of the water.

This right here, I still remember the chilling epilogue of the Martinez vs Chavez 24/7 series, "Fighting is about knowing yourself, knowing your limitations,...", great stuff, hyped the fight for me that much more.

SHowtime has a bigger budget and has done more involving social media. I am not a consumer that utilizes social media a lot or goes on the internet to watch fights, just TV. when I watch a showtime production it just looks and feels amateur, especially when Maurio whatever his name speaks.

Whatever showtime does well they lost a lot of momentum and fan goodwill with the cards they've put on the last 6-8 weeks. they are going to really need to step it up.

i like how showtime posts a bunch of their fights on youtube. i wish HBO would do that.

but i prefer the production quality of HBO more than showtime. HBO's 24/7 is very well written and shot whereas all access just seems like a poor imitation.
