I wonder if the Arum-MGM Grand conflict will continue. Both are at fault. MGM shouldn't have been promoting other fights from a rival company when a big client is paying you for a fight now. That's bad business sense.

Arum should have resolved this matter in a more diplomatic/civil way rather than bombing the bridge.

Could it be why floyd said showtime will get the fight? Cuz I was asking myself that this guy thinks hbo never existed. canelo to hbo is a great move

I can't believe you put Clottey and Kell Brook there as possible fights we want to see. come on weebler.
I didn't? I put them as fights that could be made. Personally I'd rather watch either than see Alvarez chase a Lara or Charlo around the ring.

There's nothing left on the Showtime side for Canelo.

What's he gonna do, rematch Trout? rematch Lara? Ishe Smith? chase the Charlos around the ring?

On HBO he can fight Cotto, Andrade, Martinez, Kirkland, Clottey and Kell Brook down the line.

If the Cotto fight is entertaining and competitive, we might see rematches there that are worth watching.
scraping the barrel there aren't we.

I am sure that in order to make Canelo/Cotto next year HBO wanted to have Canelo sign a deal with them. Their team made it pretty clear after the Lara fight they have no agreement with Showtime. Now the next big question is who fights on Cinco de Mayo weekend. Golden Boy has the MGM booked on that date. No way Showtime guarantee's Floyd 30 million + if they are going up against the HBO hype machine and Canelo/Cotto.
they can keep the mgm grand. Cotto-Canelo can sell out the dallas cowboys stadium. hell, even the pontiac silverdome

The problem is after Cotto beats Canelo none of the others will fight each other. It takes 2 great fighters to make a superfight.
