    Big uppercut to Showtime.

"long term deal"? wow... Canelo is being groomed as the next big PPV guy. Showtime losing out. Big loss for them.

Canelo vs GGG/Cotto/Chavez Jr. will be made. Very Nice.

showtime loses its second biggest ppv attraction.

HBO is where its at and where it will always be.

Big for HBO. tough loss for Showtime. Looks like a move that will benefit boxing fans-until you see that Canelo is fighting Clottey. HBO always gives their new signees squashes.

Lets see if boxing fans are as critical of Canelo now that he is on HBO and fighting this level of opponent as opposed to Floyd and lara.

Cotto/Top Rank have said that while Cotto is not signed as one of their fighters they both do good business together and that will continue.
I am sure that in order to make Canelo/Cotto next year HBO wanted to have Canelo sign a deal with them. Their team made it pretty clear after the Lara fight they have no agreement with Showtime. Now the next big question is who fights on Cinco de Mayo weekend. Golden Boy has the MGM booked on that date. No way Showtime guarantee's Floyd 30 million + if they are going up against the HBO hype machine and Canelo/Cotto.

Hbo is just better, more subscribers, canelo will again give them those high ratings, not thrilled about clottey though, but hes fought tough fighters lately and supposedly he might face cotto in may,

There's no one at 154 on the other side anyway.

What's he gonna do, rematch Trout? rematch Lara? Ishe Smith? chase the Charlos around the ring?

On HBO he can fight Cotto, Andrade, Martinez, Kirkland, Clottey and Kell Brook down the line.

If the Cotto fight is entertaining and competitive, we might see rematches there that are worth watching.

He's already seems to have outgrown 154. He's at HBO then the fight to make is him v GGG at 160. Lets see if it happens.

I can't believe you put Clottey and Kell Brook there as possible fights we want to see. come on weebler.

Too bad Canelo won't be able to take HBO to the forefront. Canelo has one winnable superfight that he may lose and that's against Cotto other than that there is no superfights for Canelo out there, doesn't matter what network he fights for.
