Actually I like this fight. Figueroa style can give anyone problems b/c of the angles of his punches and the pressure he applies during the course of the fight. Figueroa style + Philly shoulder roll = action pack fight

while i don't think much of Broner i think even less of Omar, he has yet yo fight anyone with a pulse. He lost to Jerry Belmontes but got a gift and has been hurt by guys with no power. He has no defense either.

the reason he applies so much pressure and throws so many punches is cuz he knows he doesnt have to respect the power or lack of power his opponents have. He's a "champ" but is fighting d level fighters

I think Broner might be too big for him. Broner is coming down to 140, while Figueroa is built more slender and coming up to that weight.

It would be interesting though, I would like to see that fight.

omar is as big as broner. omar drains himself to make 135. hes been doing it for quite some time.

I think I read Figs in his last fight weighed in at 150-ish on the unofficial scale deal.

he isnt a small LW. he's actually pretty huge for that weight class and struggles to make the weight. He always has the size advantage in his fights with the exception of his last fight but he was still physically bigger than Estrada he just wasnt taller than him.

This is a good fight, it would've been more competitive at 135 though. If Omar can take AB's best shots he has a chance, he's a good pressure/volume fighter, they can both punch, but at 140 I give the edge to AB just because he's had more time to grow into that weight for fights.

Would be a great fight, i'd have broner as clear favourite but Omar can pick his punches and has good timing, but as has been said in this thread already, he is way too weak defensively.
