    Boxings Top 5

I have listed the top 5 fighters in the world. Strictly my opinion, def not fact. Please keep that in mind when reading the list. This is a supposition, nothing more.

    1. Floyd Mayweather

I think we all know why. Unified champion in two divisions, undefeated over a stellar 18 year career. Will retire as the richest boxer ever with or without Manny. The most powerful promoter and fighter in at the sport at the same time. Looks to get his upside crackin again in 2015.

    2. Miguel Cotto

He is the lineal Middleweight champion of the world. His 4th weight class. He is currently the second most powerful man in the sport. The world is his oyster, and he has earned it. He is still a massive draw, he is sporting his old aggressive style, and he can make big fight in 3 divisions. He currently has the biggest win of 2014 on his resume. I do not see that changing.

    3. Benard Hopkins

The Unified light-heavyweight champion is daring to be great by challenging such a strong opponent, but in the meantime, he is the second most decorated champion in the sport second only to Mayweather, by virtue of Cotto's win, he is a close 3rd on the list. He is the most complete boxer in the game north of 160 pounds. At age 50!

    4. Vlad

Its impossible not to include Vlad in these rankings. He is boring, shady with drug testing, and the champion of an awful heavyweight division, but his title defenses and KO percentage cannot be ignored. He is the lineal HW champion, and even in this sorry day and age that means something.

    5. Canelo

The Lara win is the second most impressive win of the year. Canelo could be a titleholder but told the commission to shove it. Good for him. HUGE draw, growing attraction, healthy skill set, confidence, Canelo is the next PPV star in boxing. He has all the trimmings. He is going to run over Cotto, and maybe get his second crack at Floyd. The kid will only get bigger, and stronger. He is a counter puncher, so as he ages that will make him even better. Sky is the limit.

I think putting Froch in the top 5 is to much of a leap, and Manny? He is def top 7, but top 5? I don't know, I suppose bradley is quality win, but is that enough? I don't know, and Ward needs to fight, or it will be unfair for anyone to rank him in the pound for pound discussion

              1. wlad - has been the most dominant fighter in years hardly looking vulnerable at all and is a true ATG heavyweight top ten.

              2. froch - completely dominant cleaning out his division in the most dominant way possible while andre ward hides at home.

              3. pacquiao - despite getting ko'ed in 2012, pac has come back to life by beating tough rios and p4p#3 bradley to regain his WBO title. now he will face tough undefeated world champion algieri. true warrior ATG living legend.

              4. roman gonzalez - quite possibly the greatest little fighter of all time ever in the history of boxing. never ever has anyone looked as completely destructive and dominant as him. he is a little prime roberto duran.

              5. rigo - i have him ranked top 15-20 greatest fighters of all time.

Putting Wlad at #1 with his strength of schedule is inaccurate. Froch at 2 over Mayweather, Ward? Yeah right. Thats silliness. Roman is a credible pick, I hate it, but I cannot argue with it, and Rigo? Someone else mentioned Rigo, thats difficult to argue as well, esp if he is committed to knocking people out, and not coasting to decisions.

That has to be some pretty strong hate for you not to be able to see or acknowledge reality.
