He would certainly get the credit, but I don't think he'd beat him. Golovkin actually does have the correct skill set to trouble Mayweather. He was a ramrod jab, he's extremely efficient in cutting off the ring, and he's a precise and powerful combination puncher. In terms of technical boxing ability, he's significantly more skilled than Maidana, and I think he's perfectly capable of landing big shots on Floyd.

There is zero chance of the fight ever happening though. Absolutely none.

Disregard titles, hypothetically if Floyd were to face either GGG or Cotto who do you see as the tougher fight?

Larry tell me honestly: who wins Cotto or Golovkin? What would be tougher for old fragile Floyd?

Cotto is more proven and has proven himself against better competition over several weight classes...sorry GGG's best win is Daniel Geale

                  Cotto's best wins at 154 & 160:

                  1. Shot to **** Sergio Martinez
                  2. Shot to **** Antonio Margarito
                  3. Delvin Rodriguez

And unlike GGG, Cotto can fight who he likes.

Cotto is regarded as the best middleweight in the world by his own fans, and the handful of Floyd fanboys who think Floyd might be able to call himself the middleweight champion and have people take it seriously.

Floyd or Manny being the middleweight 'champion' is a sick joke. Christ, even the Pacquiao fanboys have the decency to not take this idea seriously.

Cotto is regarded as the best because he beat Martinez, who beat Pavlik, who beat Taylor, who beat Hopkins who reformed the lineage by gaining every title...WHO DID GGG DEFEAT?

Let's be real here, Floyd will never fight GGG. He can't even spell it.
