After Floyd beat him he went back to 135 and had no more fights at 147..so how was he more accustomed to the weight?Comment

It's not fair to compare Pac or Floyd to some of the best WW's ever. They are at WW because of the era and the money. Even then I would favor both over about half of that list. Both of these two are special fighters who are among the top 30 who ever laced them up. People want to talk **** about Pac losing to JMM like JMM wasn't a very good fighter. He had Pac's number and that's all there is to it. Even then I still say Pac won the first two fights.Comment

RuSo Pac beat Oscar, Hatton, Mosley and Cotto in one sided fashion while your boy barely survived against them. What do you think Floyd against these WW which is a much lesser fighter than Pac?Cool story. Historically many fighters would beat Pacman not just ten, he isn't that high if you rank him all time, fighters who would beat him right now in the division is a more interesting conversation than fantasy fights since Pacman is technically poor, and thus loses most of his fantasty fights unless you are a nuthugger.
Right now, Floyd and Maidana both stop Manny in the division.Last edited by straightleft; 09-20-2014, 09:55 PM.Comment

when marquez fought floyd he came straight from 135lbs, and fought a full welter at 147(while marquez was 142), no S&C coach, just rock tossing and tacos to gain weight
before fighting pacquiao for the third time he got some wins at 135, fought at 140, then gained 4 more lb's to fight an equal sized pacquiao, and with a professional to help him gain mass this time aroundComment

1. Sugar Ray Robinson- Robinson would have worn Pacman down and probably gotten a late round knockout. Would be very exciting to watch.
2. Henry Armstrong- Armstrong's power would tell in the end and Pacman would fade to the naturally stronger man.
3. Thomas Hearns- The Hitman would catch Pacman with a thunderous right which would be too much. Probably would not last long.
4. Roberto Duran- Even Freddie Roach said Pacman would not beat Duran and he's right. Duran proved against Hagler that southpaws were no problem for him. The fight could have gone either way even though Duran was fighting way above his natural weight against a prime Hagler.
5. Carmen Basilio- Basilio would have plenty of problems with Pacquiao but I think he would overwhelm him down the stretch of a close contest.
6. Pipino Cuevas- This one obviously would not go to the cards. It's pretty much who would catch who but I think Cuevas could take Pacman's punches before Pacquiao could take his. The man broke eye sockets for goodness sakes!
7. Kid Gavilan- Gavilan's boxing skill and superior infighting would lead him to a close decision victory in a real war.
8. Sugar Ray Leonard- I think Leonard's speed and ring generalship would earn him a close decision in an action-packed fight.
9. Carlos Palomino-Palomino's body punching would be the key, but Pacquioa would have several moments here. I think Palomino wins a decision as Pacman fades late in the fight.
10. Emile Griffith- Griffith's all around boxing skills and defensive abilities would guide him to a decision of a thrilling fight.

This is pretty fair for me, considering I've also read the ones that are for floyds. No hate needed here, ofcourse everyone has a chance when they're in the ring together especially the greats, but that doesn't mean they wouldnt have a chance of their own (pac and floyd). They are also in the top spot in this generation for a reason and would likely push their own lucks and determinations at any era. All of them works hard, dont tell me those atgs train harder than pac and floyd. Its just about the same. In todays world its pretty much complicated than before and too much ego is in play that why we'll never know. But at any era, floyd and pac would also have their moments, just on discipline and belief alone.
Too add up to the list, tito, mosley and odh would give pacquiao hell too.Comment

Crazy that Floyd had a struggle (if slight) with each of those fighters while Pac buzz-sawed them.Comment

and you're obviously a floyd nuthugeerYou are the president of the pacquiao fanclub if you truly believe that. He would have fits against Hearns, Hagler, Armstrong, Duran and the others...especially Kid. Are you kidding me? Duran was like the best swarmer with crazy underated defense. He would knock Pacquiaos head off. Pacquiao has lost 5 times to nobodies(Exception of Marquez).. and you're saying some of the top 20 fighters of all time would lose to him? Pacquiao is like in the 40s or 50s on the ATG list. everyone else beats him on that list. You must not know much about boxing histry and stuck in the current depleted era that we're forced to live in.
2 of his losses he got screwed especially against morales who is also a legend and bradley and the other 2 before he even was trained by freddie fighting as a 20 year old in asia. YOU MUST HAVE MISSED boxing from 2003-2011 and your boy duran lost 16 times mostly to NODBODIES so here
