True, but if Manny can't be angry at him, maybe he doesn't train as hard, and Algeri can get the upset. If you're Algeri, let Arum sell the fight, you just win the fight. I'm sure the only way he can win the fight is to be like Rigo beating Donaire. The crowd won't like it, but you'll be the champ.

The only way I see algieri winning if he does a "Lara". But to his credit, he did that against provo, but threw more power punches and some combinations than lara in lara vs canelo. If that happens, big question is can algieri'a chin take punches from a short guy like pacquiao in an upward angle, like an uppercut for exp, who already has experience fighting taller guys, albeit they where more of plodders than movers.

To me lara won the fight as well. What I saw was canelo not cutting off the ring at all and winning maybe 4 rounds the most, mostly with body work. I was more talking about that he threw combinations in front of provo. He also threw and landed more. 83 more landed than provo, compared to 10 for lara on canelo.

Provodnikov has power and chin, but overall he sucks and one dimensional with no defense.If the fight was in vegas Algieri would have never beaten him on the scorecards the way he fought. Also, I remember when pac and provo used to spar, there were stories about Pac boxing circles and looking like willie pep in there against provo.

You on point! However. I don't think if it's Manny he'll get the win (even if he has the same connect rate differential he had vs. Provo), and just like Lara, you can't beat the cash cow like you would in the amateurs. Hit, don't get hit, make him pay for the mistake and slide out, BUT BE FIRST! That's Algeri's only chance, but I don't see him being able to do it after only 20 pro fights against a master boxer like Pacquiao.

Last time I saw Manny really angry was with Marquez and he got KO'd. Regardless Algieri should want to beat Pac at his best annd not worry about how hard he trains. They're going to be in a fight.. No reason for Chris to say nothing but nice things about Manny.

Lara lost fair and square.. He could have won if he worked a little more, but he actually thought he was going to get a decision off Canelo by running and pop shotting.
