Heard somewhere that they drop the weight early in their careers cuz it would make them "bigger" than the journeymen that are in that current division. Could be that he can be better for 154. Thurman has fought there before, also. Word, you are a fellow PAL'er? Cool. Shotokan Karate PAL newark, nj.

Many people called Mauricio Herrera an "espn level" fighter before he got robbed in his fight against Danny Garcia. So what does that make Garcia?
Algieri should call Manny short or something to ****e things up.Comment

Thank you! People really exaggerate this kid. I can't wait to see their post after Pac KO's him. If he doesn't win by KO it's because Chris got on his bicycle and survived the fight. Either way Chris is not ready for the monster that is Pacquioa.Comment

So do you think an inexperienced boxer with a kickboxing background can beat a master boxer like Pacquiao? I know anything can happen, but do you give him more than a 30% chance? My little experience with Karate (Tiger Kim, Fordham Rd. in the BX) folks, was that the boxing background helped in Karate, but the Karate folks didn't have an advantage in the boxing ring. I don't know why, but it's just my experience.Comment

I don't know, if Algieri talks enough about standing in front of Pac and brawling than come fight night, Pac will blindly follow him around the ring wondering why he's not.Comment

Algeri should say noting but nice things about Manny. #1 He's lucky to be getting this fight for $1.5 million, and #2 It's hard to train for a guy you like.Comment
