Comments Thread For: Groves: This is The Most Important Fight of My Career

George Groves and Christopher Rebrasse both weighed in for Saturday’s super middleweight showdown without any problems.

Groves is aiming to return to winning ways against the Frenchman at Wembley after suffering back-to-back stoppage defeats to IBF and WBA champion Carl Froch.

Rebrasse, who has a record of 22 wins from 27 fights, with two defeats and three draws, will put his European belt on the line while the vacant WBC silver title will also be up for grabs.

Well in the sense that your next fight is always the most important one, perhaps so. Losing to Rebrasse sure as hell wouldn't look good, but it's hard to argue that this is more important than the Froch fights, George - unless that EBU title is what you've secretly been dreaming of your entire career.

your career is the product of the brits overrating domestic fighters, especially the white ones. enjoy the fame and money while it lasts.

New England has never ventured outside of Fat Yankistan so he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Groves was never really overhyped. James DeGale was being groomed to be the star and he isn't white.

Groves was seen as an easy fight for Froch. His credibility came from the fact that he surprised almost everyone by his performance in the first Froch fight.

George was never overhyped. He was seen as a promising prospect and not many gave him a chance against DeGale. He put on a great performance vs Froch and was rightly recognised for it. He needs to prove that it wasn't a fluke and beat some top opposition now. Been a big fan for a while now, and hope he gets his shot at Dirrell soon.
