    yeah, i hold my hands up and admit i thought froch would walk right through him before the first fight. but groves put on a great show and i gained a lot of respect for him. i think even in defeat he proved he belonged at world level.

          i don't think he does any longer. mayweather UD, esepcially in the advent of how well he moved against maidana in the second fight. hooking up with a steroid guy doesn't make him look clean, but that's not relevant to the discussion.

          styles do make fights. certain styles give certain fighters issues. marquez against pacquiao, for example. mayweather against hatton. manny knocked hatton out in two rounds, and had no issues, while mayweather had a much rougher night.


          if you think the mayweather that struggled with maidana in the first fight wouln't have the same sort of problems with porter, that is on you. mayweather was on the ropes for much of the fight
