I can't really considered him being moved too fast when he was the favorite in all his fights. Being moved too fast would be Vargas vs Trinidad or Reid vs Trinidad.

Too be honest I don't think his jump from lightweight to welterweight is that big of a deal. It's not like he moved up and fought Keith Thurman. Mosley did it and fought ODH.

I think Broner is just limited and will always lose to the best of the division especially now that he's facing fighters his own size.

Broner is 5'6" so the whole "size advantage" thing at the lower weights is absurd. Broner was the same size as the guys he was fighting. Now he's fighting guys that are naturally BIGGER than him. Paulie is a full fledged established WW btw, and he was bigger than Broner.

His own ego and personality moved along to quick. He believed as did a lot of fans did that he was something he wasn't...and prob never will be.

            Yeah I agree.

He was struggling to make those weights though, especially 130.

His 130 "Run" was a complete waste of time unfortunately.

He did ok at 135, he fought the #1 ranked fighter in his short spell there, can't really complain.

Overall though he's done so little. 3 Weight Champion on paper with a pretty poor resume.

No. Casual fans were proclaiming him the next fighter of the decade.

I wonder who the driving force behind it was. I suspect that he decided that he was too good to need to spend time trying to make a lower weight, and the yes men around him won't have put up a fight.

Jumping him over two entire divisions for Paulie's belt was wrong on every level. That obscenity backfiring was a win for all boxing fans, whether they realise it or not.
