Personally, if I were Garcia an 85 year old man, who has been praised by everyone as being a legend, walked in to wrap Floyd's hands, and someone else was doing this already, and Floyd then tells you to get back to Mickey Bey's corner; how would you feel? Being that I am an empathetic human being, I would assume he felt a little humiliated, embarrassed and maybe even betrayed. At that age its easy to be hurt (I know,I deal with a lot of older folk), so I can't blame him for quitting. Mind you I could be very wrong here, I don't know exactly what went on, but judging by what I see on the cameras I believe this to be very plausible. To be honest if I were Floyd, I would have gotten rid of everyone on the stable, including Mickey Bey, just to make sure Garcia stayed around, even it if wasn't to wrap my hands. I hope that this was a mutual and respectful departure, where there is no ill-will involved. There was an article in RING magazine I believe a few years back, where they interviewed Rafael Garcia, and he explains how he and Floyd's relationship began, if you read that article, you too would feel a little sad that they are no longer working with each other.

As dumb as this may sound; It's silly little things like this that make it really hard for a lot of people to root for Floyd.

With that being said. Judging by the comments on this particular post, and some of the other posts as well, there are some real classless people on this website.
He walked on his own? He has no other choice!! Lmao! He got replace already!! Do u need it to come straight from Floyd's mouth that Floyd fired him? Gracia wouldn't have just walked out for no reason. He walked because he got replaced what else is he suppose to do? Hang around the gym for no reason? lol.

The funny thing is, out of all his team (apart from his family) - I always felt Ellerbe and Garcia we're the most genuine guys who had Floyd's best interests at heart and not just leeching off him.

Ellerbe get's lot of things said about him but i still thought he was quite a loyal guy and had good intentions.

All of this will come back to haunt him in future, not these cases specifically, Garcia is 85 and isn't going to make a lot of difference to Mayweather's future, but Floyd getting rid of the loyal people and bringing in more leeches maybe his downfall in the future.

NSB showing once again that people would rather just make up and believe whatever they want despite whatever actually happened. Anything to try and recapture that 2009 feeling, eh?

Mickey was i the middle of the most important fight of his career, and may have needed a veteran cutman. Floyd just needed wraps, one outweighs the other. Plus Floyd won't be fighting too much longer, and this fight was an investment in Mickey. Garcia should've stayed where he was needed most

Yup, pretty much sums it up. This is a recipe for future ugliness to transpire. But look on the flip side if Floyd looses in his next fight his fans can always uses the "changes" in his camp excuse.

I'm sure you been a fan of the sport as long as I have to see this card being played. By the way, it's been years since I've been to La Perla your sig brings back old times.
