If any of you guys actually read the article you would have noticed that as well. Personally, if I were Garcia an 85 year old man, who has been praised by everyone as being a legend, walked in to wrap Floyd's hands, and someone else was doing this already, and Floyd then tells you to get back to Mickey Bey's corner; how would you feel? Being that I am an empathetic human being, I would assume he felt a little humiliated, embarrassed and maybe even betrayed. At that age its easy to be hurt (I know,I deal with a lot of older folk), so I can't blame him for quitting. Mind you I could be very wrong here, I don't know exactly what went on, but judging by what I see on the cameras I believe this to be very plausible. To be honest if I were Floyd, I would have gotten rid of everyone on the stable, including Mickey Bey, just to make sure Garcia stayed around, even it if wasn't to wrap my hands. I hope that this was a mutual and respectful departure, where there is no ill-will involved. There was an article in RING magazine I believe a few years back, where they interviewed Rafael Garcia, and he explains how he and Floyd's relationship began, if you read that article, you too would feel a little sad that they are no longer working with each other.

As dumb as this may sound; It's silly little things like this that make it really hard for a lot of people to root for Floyd.

With that being said. Judging by the comments on this particular post, and some of the other posts as well, there are some real classless people on this website.
I felt the same way,he has even done well that with his age he was able to deal with this ego driven, hard core young guys who fight for a living.

In every profession he would have been pushed out a long time but i hope Floyd continues to look after him.

I agree with u that there are some classless people here, he is old and i hope he retires happy and lives longer. He is way past his prime in this physically demanding job, even if he was a doctor they wont let him deal with surgeries anymore. So sad that everything beginning has an end...

If there was a joke in your comment, I apologize for missing it. I guess English, third grade reading level, and common sense are NOT your strong suits. But hey, thanks for playing.

I don't like Floyd myself but why vilify him for going with a new corner guy or hand guy? Sounds like they are both ready to move on from each other.

You act like Floyd is sitting on his ass just until the fight is on. He trains everyday and does long sparring sessions in the camp, especially months prior to the main event. It's more than just 'two fights'. It's a full year of preparation. He still needs to have his hands wrapped properly.

Also, the two fights left are potentially his biggest fights in his career. He had hand problems against Guerrero and Canelo. If he feels the other man from the team is doing a better job then why not replace him with Garcia? It's like every other damn job out there - no matter if it's the private or public sector - if there's one out there who does the job better than you, you're going to be replaced. It's simple.

He has always seen Garcia as family and there's nothing in the article that suggests otherwise. It's just time for change.

The guy is 85 years old. He's been with Mayweather for over a decade. He has enough money to enjoy the last remaining years of his life. He's good.

Stop the conspiracy theories and move on.

You can tell Floyd loves this man but at 80+ maybe there was something we didnt know or see. Either way the man had a good career and it still isnt over if he doenst want it to be.

I can see you never had a job. They don't fire you like they do in the apprentice with Donald Trump. They always say well things are just not working out I'm gonna have to let you go I'm sorry. I know your use to hey we're going to cut your benefits since you didn't mail in the paper work. You can contact your local Social Service office to reinstate your Snap benefits, medical etc.

You act like this guy humping cement bags or something all he's doing is sitting on a chair wrapping some hands that takes about 15 minutes
