Floyd retired before the cotto/marg fight which should prove there were never any real negotiation for a floyd/cotto fight in 2008.

come on dude!! Pac's excuse is legitimate compared to your boy's... the excuse is that KNOWING that's the fight the whole boxing world wants to see.. casual or not.. would have generated 2+ million buys, plus gate.. I'm not an expert but that's a $200+ million pie that he only wanted to give pac 40 flat? when up to that point they were both averaging 1 million plus PPV.. with about 250k more buys for money on average..

So you're saying it was an acceptable offer? NO!!!

Now today.. The fraud was exposed.. didn't even do a million with kahn and broner on the undercard.. when he was doing million consistently with Canelo on his undercard.. or stacking it with Mexicans once Canelo said no..

      Mayweather/Maidana 1 (with a stacked card) = 900k
      Pac/Bradley 2 (pac selling alone) = 850k..

      I doubt Mayweather/Maidana 2 did the same..

These two need each other for another huge payday.. cause they're both running out of overmatche/undersized opponents to keep fooling the public into believing they're the best..

oh! and cotto made the fight happen easily cause he UNDERSTANDS he was a few levels below the A side..

Mind boggling how so much venom is flung Pacquiao's way on these comments sections. People believe and defend some degenerate illiterate coon, over a humble gentleman and true fighter who is a global icon. Pacquiao is a fighter, not some wannabe marketing major like Gayweather is. I think he just genuinely wants the fight for the fans and for the glory.

Of course. Arum been wanted margarito to fight floyd, but what better way than to take the second best welterweight, cotto, and put him in there with a guy like margocheato. A win there would have been impressive. All the while floyd was the lineal ww champ. Would have been a fight for the undisputed champion at ww. I see your point as well though. Floyd made sure to retire fight after the ricky hatton fight.

He didn't fight Cotto in 2008 because Cotto was promoted by Top Tank. And Floyd wasn't even fighting in 2008. The same reason that Pacquiao has been on the run for so long.
