You can hate Arum all you want, but you really should thank him for putting the pressure on Floydie big time like this. This has been needed for years. If you watched 24/7 Mayweather/__________ (fill in the blanks), besides the gaudy displays of wealth out the wazoo and him going on and on about how great he is, and taking up 2/3 to 3/4 of the show for that boring crapola each episode... you'd see the guy is delusional. He actually thinks, just because he's surrounded by yes men kissing his hiney, that whatever he says is solid gold indisputable facts. I'd be glad if the jurr-cough retired tomorrow, but hey it would be nice if he finally grew a set and fought Pac before that happens. I won't be holding my breath for it though.

More disgusted by Larryx unable to go a day without giving Floyd a *******. His obsessive mug is immune from getting banned from making daily Floyd threads.

Bob Arum should just shut the **** UP! When all sides were at the negotiating table, Mayweather conceded to their bull**** 1 million dollar for every pound over. All Mayweather asked for was TESTING! and you both balked like guilty *****es. Mayweather offeref 40 million doallars and you guys turned it down. What the ****? Are people that ****** and they can't see what is going on. I truly believe that Pacman wants to fight and make that money, but he does exactly what Arum says.
Remember when Mayweather warned Pac to get his finances in order, and people were laughing saying that mayweather is jealous of Pac. well, what happened to Visionquest, the company that Pac hired to looking into his finances. They realized that it was a mess and things weren't added up and then what do you know, Arum fires them. That's right Pac hired them and then got rid of them. Coincidence, I think not!
Mayweather is a the best fighter of this era no questions about that. Would we love to have seen him fight a few other guys, for sure. Is he any different than Oscar staying away from Vernon Forest, or fighting Pernell Whitaker in his younger days. All boxers do it because now its about money. Arum always says **** about Mayweather, why doesn't he worry about Pac. Pac isn't make the money that Mayweather makes. There is a huge asterisks besides Pac's name involving steroids use even though he hasn't been caught. Mayweather's PPV's numbers may be in decline just as Pac's KO ratio did after the Mayweathers called him out. Pac now fights in Macau. Bob wants to say taxes, nah, because the real boxing fans understand that Pac was a fabricated storyline who has been moved along very carefully. Who has Pac fought in the past few years, the same recycled fighters, how exciting. Mayweather has 2 fights left, and I hope he doesn't fight Pac. Hde will get no credit for beating Pac, because all the haters will say that Mayweather waited until Pac got old even though Mayweather is the older fighter and everyone seems to say that he has slowed down, not as quick, etc etc... but yet he'll beat Pac and the excuse will resume.
All I have to say is Mayweather don't fight these **** heads because I remember them saying how they don't need you. **** them!

I wouldn't doubt that Floyd's PPV's are declining. But there are several factors. One could be that fight fans truly want to see him against Pac (including me). Another factor is the undercards. You must have a solid undercard in order to support the main event, especially when the main event does not come on until about 11:30pm Eastern Time or later.
Another big reason that people may not even considered and I don't think people talk about is the fact that Floyd's fights brings "Fight Parties". I have one in my home for all of his fights since he only fights twice a year. I had about 50 or 60 people at my house watching it, with a bartender and everything. Of those 60, I'm sure 20 or so would of bought it themselves if they didn't come to expect for me to have a Fight Party. I also know of two other people who also had a Fight Party for this past Mayweather fight. Although I'm not sure how many people they had at their party, I'm sure some of those people would of bought PPV. In comparison, I don't think Pac creates that Fight Party atmosphere. I've never had a Fight Party for any of his fights. Nor do I order all of his fights. The last fight Pac had, I ordered it and keep in mind, there was no invitations sent out and no bartender, but I did call, text and had my wife Facebook a few of her friends so them and their husbands/boyfriends come by. Only one person showed. I expected about 8 -10 people, but nobody was all that interested.
Also, how does PPV numbers factor in when the fight is being offered at the movies? Before my basement was finished, I saw one of his fights at the movies. I think me and my wife went for $16 a piece, while the fight was around the $60 range at that time. The theater was packed. It wasn't the big screen which is for when new hit movies first come out. It was the smaller room, but it was still a lot of people.
Lastly, I don't go to the bars anymore because I have my own bar at home, but I'm wondering about how packed the bars be when Mayweather fights, as opposed to Pac? Are they similar or what? I know that for Mayweather fights here in Saginaw, Michigan and surrounding areas, a lot of the bars advertise that patrons can watch the fight at their establishment. I also heard from a couple of people (don't know for sure) that Buffalo Wild Wings will charge $5 at the door when Mayweather fights. I've never heard of this for a Pac fight. Not that it doesn't happen.
I think they are both great fighters, but Mayweather is more appealing in terms of the entertaining aspect of it as a whole and not just in the ring. Regardless, if the two of them were to fight this coming up May or September, I will have to make sure that I get the other side of my basement finished because I would expect even more people to attend my Fight Party.

I have watched Floyd since the mid 90s when he was an amateur.. I have watched all his major fights and ordered every PPv since his first one vs gatti.. I gotta say that this fight was the most lame fight he has had in a long time.. The ghost and Marquez fights were just as boring, but this time I couldn't get passed the absurdly big ring... It looked so ****** and allowed for Floyd to have plenty of room to move,,, maidana's performance was piss poor.. The undercard was horrible..
This was the first Floyd fight that left a very bad taste in my mouth.. One of the worst PPVs ever
