he should quit *****ing and complaining and start fighting ... move to light hunt down hopkins, stevenson and kovalev etc ... tonnes of really good fights for him there. How long has it been since he has had a big fight now?
he should be prepared to go to England for froch etc etc

does he do any of this?

      No

Ward doesn't have the personality to do that, nor does he feel any need to.
Mayweather was on PPV and making great money before that though, wasn't he?

Ward could be in that same position if he wasn't screwing himself over right now.

Well Andre Ward doesn't fight ever, so that could be a main reason why. Just a hunch though

I don't remember any 168-175 pounder being a big PPV superstar. Not even Roy Jones Jr. Nowadays, the bigger they are, the harder to sell. Just like the smaller, the harder to sell too. If you are in the middle, like 140-160 you have a better chance of making it to the big PPV stage.

He was making pretty good money, I think Gatti and Judah (Baldomir as well?) were PPV bouts at around 300,000-350,000 buys which was pretty good.

After the Dawson bout, Ward was basically in the same position that Mayweather was pre-De La Hoya; he get's paid good money, he'd been on PPV and had a good base to build on - Mayweather built on it and created a persona, Ward went with the semi-retirement idea instead.

                The answers

His fights are boring to everyone who isn't a ridiculous purist boxing nerd

For a long time his persona was a really boring Christian guy, he's now replaced that with being a whiny little *****

He didn't capitalise on the super 6 which could have been a star making platform, instead he's fought like 3 times in 3 years and rows with his promoter

God is testing Wards faith at the moment, its up to Ward to understand why and how to follow the path set before him. Right now PPV seems out of the question due to inactivity. Perhaps one day he will once again clinch in the name of Jesus, making millions on a PPV.
