I don't know why people hate on this fight. I am all for interesting matchups. It doesn't have to be Cotto vs Hatton, Cotto vs Castillo, Cotto vs Mayweather back to back to back to back every month of the year...

this is a very interesting and compelling matchup...this is straight up stylist boxer vs upright puncher...

what I find most interesting is Paul Malignaggi and how confident he is in his abilities...this is not some guy coming to lay down...this is a prideful man who truly believes in himself...he is not some vet there for a payday and a hope to win...he is a young fighter who will be there to win...to move away from Cotto's best shots, etc...

Not many expected Calzaghe to actually BEAT UP Lacy brutally...not many expected Raheem to embarass Erik Morales...not many (or no one) expected Kostya to quit vs Hatton...

As fans of boxing, we should know that ANYTHING can happen...Cotto very well may blow out the light hitting Paul...

however Cotto may struggle and barely get by the light hitting Paul

Paul may struggle and barely get by the slower Cotto...

Paul may completely outbox and outspeed Cotto to a decision...

you never know...

I want to favor Cotto a bit, but he can be clipped by faster hands which is why I have always felt and still feel a Mayweather would destroy and possibly stop Cotto...

I agree with you tyrant, this is an interesting match-up that as a fan and a fighter I wanna see. I'm pulling for Malignaggi, and see him winning a close decision.
