I don't think it's outlandish to suggest that Khan/Naz were disliked by a number of fans due to their skin colour. Many people i speak to in my local town dislike Khan simply because he's Asian. It's a sad state of affairs imo but it's true.
You're right, some fans do think like that, but I like to think (hope) they are a minority.
I think he gained most of his hate in Britain when he lost to Prescott. A lot of casuals were following him up until that point, then of course one loss automatically makes you a bum in their eyes.

It's mainly down to Khan's big mouth and attitude, but Khan isn't the first British boxer with a massive ego. The likes of Calzaghe & Froch get away with it.

Khan gets my respect because he's usually involved in exciting fights & isn't afraid to fight the best. I'd much rather support someone like that than say Calzaghe, who despite having an undefeated record, basically fought bums in Wales for the majority of his career. Like you say though, casuals don't see that, they just see the Prescott/Garcia losses.

I agree completely. I always look forward to Khan fights. I'm not going to say he beats everyone but at the end of the day he always entertains and that is why I watch boxing. I couldn't really give a *** about their personalities. It's boxing not a soap opera.

          What?

If the fight happened in the UK Mayweather would still be the fan favourite. Hardly anyone travels across the pond to watch Khan.

He'd like Floyd to believe that wouldn't he?

But's unless he has a substantial following of young British Asians with disposable income that I'm not aware of (and that is a possibility) I can't see that happening.

He doesn't have the following of Hatton. I know people who sold their cars to get over to Vegas supporting Ricky. Khan doesn't move people like that.

Khan is probably the most delusional part-time boxer on the planet.

Khan has nothing but speed.. No power on his punches, no inside fighting IQ and NO CHIN. Mayweather would stop Khan inside 10 rounds.. I'll pass.
He keeps calling out Floyd because he knows another loss would send him to the back of the line thats y he ducked Alexander and y he still wont fight Brook. He knows that even tho Brook is recovering from a stabbing, that he is still a serious threat to derail any chance of a Mayweather fight. Khan said if Brook beat Porter and picked up a title then he would fight him. After Brook won, Khan was like " man u know I be playing!"
