No, Hatton was huge. But Khan does have a following, he has fans regardless of what people who can't stand him say.

Brook is still relatively unknown outside of boxing fans.

      Nope.

Most of the fans who went to Vegas to support Hatton against Floyd weren't even boxing fans.

They were Manchester football fans who just loved Hatton.

Dream on Khan, Vegas would be more of a cricket crowd than much else. Iv'e been around boxing for a long time and I don't know many people who support your ****** self righteousness attitude . You need to fight big named contenders and get your head out of your arse son!!

no he dont not even close and there are a few factors to why.....

1.he is not a star most boxing fans over here in the uk find him annoying as ****.

          2. yes he is british but he is not white british or black british because he is asian british the support would not be as much because he is not looked at like ''one of there own'' black fighters in the uk get more love i.e frank brono...lennox lewis.

          3. he is no longer based in the uk, hatton was based over here and his fan base was people just like him, he was a working class hero.

4.no one really cares about khan like that in the uk.

I guess no one liked Naz either because he wasn't black or white, right?

I am not sure that many people outside of their community support British Pakinstani boxers .My dislike for Khan is he is again trying to climb aboard for free!!!! That's what alot of people really dont like!

His star has faded somewhat in recent years in the UK. His name is well known but really nobody cares about him

He can't take a huge legion of fans to Las Vegas like Hatton did. I think Mayweather and his team thought he could until they realised it's not the case which is why he didn't end up getting the fight instead of Maidana in May.

Naz was disliked by a large majority of the British public, especially when he started pushing Islam down everyone's throat.

Boxing fans tuned in because he was exciting, casuals tuned in because they wanted to see him get knocked the fook out.

I know, but it had nothing to do with the colour of his skin like the poster was saying, but because he was cocky and brash.

Agreed that it was mainly down to his cocky attitude, however...

I don't think it's outlandish to suggest that Khan/Naz were disliked by a number of fans due to their skin colour. Many people i speak to in my local town dislike Khan simply because he's Asian. It's a sad state of affairs imo but it's true.
