Yea I think that is a pretty decent fight. Broner-Matthysse is a little more flashy though and both guys were talking about it so I can understand some disapointment.


This is not a terrible fight though certainly a step up from Taylor.

I agree with all this but the issue is I'd rather see him fight Matthysse. Considering they both called each other out it would definitely be dissapointing.

I feel you, I'd love that fight and think it gets Lucas back on track but I think its obvious Broner was just using his name. For me this is possibly the second best fight at 140 to make right now.

Maybe we'll get that fight next if Broner beats Soto & Lucas beats Figueroa. I imagine that is the plan, both good fights. I think sometimes as fans we get a little impatient.

If Broner fights at a slow pace Soto can make him pay, plus he's got a great beard.

No doubt were impatient but they can't possibly put these two in the same card again trying to sell us a future matchup. Let's see how it plays out.

Soto's win over Molina is casting a false illusion, just like Collazo's upset over Ortiz. People would overvalue his chances just the same as Collazo's against Khan.

This could be true. However, Collazo didn't really show much in beating Ortiz other than getting the stoppage. Soto showed his offense was still on-point and he could still take a punch. Broner should win, but Soto will have his moments. He's one of the most battle-tested fighters out here, so it will be a well-deserved notch on Broner's belt if he can get the stoppage.
