Comments Thread For: Mickey Bey: I'm The Number One Boxer at Lightweight!

Mexico's Miguel Vazquez (34-4, 13KOs) is dis*****g the outcome of last Saturday's split decision loss to Mickey Bey (21-1-1, 10KOs), who captured the IBF lightweight title with the victory. Their fight took place on the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana undercard from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Two of the judges had it close. One scored it 115-113 for Bey, with the second having 115-113 for Vazquez. But the third judge placed in a score which everyone, other than Bey, disagreed with. Judge Robert Hoyle submitted a card of 119-109, scoring nearly every single round for Bey.

          Riiiiiiight.

I suppose through corruption anything is possible. Crawford could knock Bey out and get disqualified. Abril wouldn't stand a chance.

Look into a mirror and tell yourself that fairytale! You know that was all Haymon's doing. No credit!

Miguel Vasquez is difficult to watch but that 119-109 scorecard was disgusting, I don't understand how people aren't making a bigger deal of it. Mickey bey looked average at best and there was rounds when I can't renember him throwing a punch. Far from the best lightweight, if he wernt a 'money team' fighter on a mayweather undercard he'd have just suffered his second defeat.
