I find it odd all the writers and fans comment on this phantom bite but most of them don't say anything about Mayweather clearly smootering Maidana with his palm, by covering both mouth and nose intentionally.

The very first replay they showed fight night gave the best angle of the bite. There's was a little window between the arms that you can clearly she Chino bite him. Idk if it's on YouTube or not, but if you watch the fight again im pretty sure it was the very first replay they showed. The replays after we're harder to see but the crust one shows it all.

Floyd was purposely covering Maidana's face with his gloves on the opposite side of the ref's view. He was playing dirty, and got played dirty back.
