IMO he was over trained doing weighted resistance training too close to the in effort to make weight which is evident at the weigh in. Also like I said before Maidana plan was to collect a bonus payday for the rematch. That's what made this card absurd. I tell you again don't pay for Haymon fights!

despite that, i saw maidana landing way more cleaner punches in this fight than he did in the first. his right hand couldn't miss when floyd was corralled into the ropes. look at floyd's face at the end of the fight. floyd came in on his unicycle and turned it into a hugathon from the get-go so of course maidana's punch output will be less.

I had been saying this since the rematch got signed.. If Maidana throws 100 punches a round he would win 100%. He needed to at least throw 1000 punches in this fight.. But except for the 4th round, he never let his hands go.. He needed to sellout and go for broke.. He didn't and tried to be tactical and conserve energy and lost by a huge margin..
The gigantic ring size didn't help him either, but he needed to be a lot more aggressive than what he was

Alot of you should be happy that the new boxing thing that gabe rosado won his last fight in is coming... U wont have to watch fighters "run" for 12 rounds. No fighters will frustrate their opponents gameplan and force them to fight their fight it will be all brawls and in the pocket action!

the second right hand here is an example of what i was talking about, unless you can slow down the gif/vid to check if it really landed or missed, you can't tell, but everyone assumes it didn't land because floyd always turns his head that way anyway, he doesn't have any hair on his body for you to see any sudden acceleration neither

I posted before this fight: Maidana said he didn't even think the rematch would happen and then seemed too complacent about Floyd's demands and eager to just sign on the dotted line.

I predicted he would show up, have barely any output, just give it a college try then take home his $3 million.

I stand by that now.

This right here, but a 26 foot ring, a unicycle for Floyd, and a referee with minority report on all probable clinches obviously helped lower Maidana's output.
