Sad thing is a lot of these whiners on here were saying Alexander beat Maidana with ease why couldn't Mayweather, but let Mayweather use the same tactics as Alexander in this rematch and lord forbid he's "excessively holding" now...

Maidana unwillingness to let his hands go and instead try to place his punches was his downfall end of story. He should have trained to throw close to 1000 punches and use his jab more effectively. He never got as low as he did in the first fight to throw Mayweather's rhythm off. Maidana jab was not effective this fight. When he did use it Mayweather effectively countered it.

Adjustments were made. If a fighter is coming head first that is what you do if you can not pivot out the way or get a punch off to deter him. A lot of you keyboard warriors need to join a gym and learn the basics.

Maidana threw one good punch this whole fight at the end of the 3rd round i believe which a bunch of you have as sigs now. Hold on to that and move the **** on. We have 3 pretty good fights coming up soon so lets all focus on that. Get off Mayweather's nuts until he announces his next opponent.

exactly!!! Compubox, Shostats, they are all ****. There is noway Maidana threw 300 less punches, that just doesn't work with the reality of what we all saw. Also, noway in hell did Mayweather land 100 more punches, both men were missing wildly but Floyd had the slight edge in connect...not a 100 more LOOOL

Lol no, even a lot of the so called Floyd haters on this forum scored it 10-2 for Floyd.

Floyd ran all the fight or clinched.
Maidana could have thrown a million punches if he wanted to, but FLoyd would have been 10 foot away. Maidana wasn't in a position to throw punches as Floyd was running and too far away. But on the same token FLoyd was in no position to punch and ko maidana like he said he wanted to.

Please define running! Besides for a minute in the 1st round, and the 12th round which was GIVEN to Maidana, Floyd never ran, if you call lateral movement so that your opponent can't set his feet to throw a power punch, running, then you obviously don't know boxing or don't watch enough or understand it. Lara RAN vs Canelo, maybe we see things differently, but Floyd backed Chino up in the rematch and the 1st fight in certain rounds, more so in the 1st, but that doesn't indicate running when your pushing your opponent BACK!
Or having a fight be in the middle of the ring for 90% of the fight doesn't indicate running to me either, maybe you all should get on Maidana for being lazy or not knowing how to cut the ring off, or putting any type of wrinkle in his game plan besides a feint with his front leg to win the damn fight........you all crack me up
I thought boxingscene people would be way more intelligent than other boxing forum websites, but I'm wrong

Also, I saw a comment on the scores, saying they were right, but making fun of Floyd fans for scoring it 9-3 or 10-2, uhhh, you do realize if the Judges scored the fight 7-5, it was really 8-4 because the 12th was given to Maidana, or 8-4 was really 9-3 so no one was that far off lmao. You can deduct 1 round from Maidana automatically because he was GIVEN the 12th

They are only right when they go against Floyd, lol here's a for you crybabies. Floyd already had him figured out the last fight. So if Floyd was on the ropes it was because Chino forced him and his legs were shot. Why couldnt Chino do it again? How is floyd shot if he was "running" as you guys like to say, He kept chino in the middle and moved laterally or BOXED his ass off. He beat chino in chino's type of fight and dominated him in floyd's type of fight. Hell Dan rafeal or whatever scored it 11-1 or 10-2 Thats domination. Floyd beat him down

This is what they call running.
