hmmm, makes sense to me. he will lose to any pressure fighter at 147 because his arms are to long and he is too slow to keep them outside. if he were to fight hatton, hatton would get inside and punish this chump.

I used to say that Margarito was a little underrated but since he beat down Cintron he's becoming rapidly overrated.

Does he deserve a shot at Mayweather, Delahoya or Hatton?

          Yes

Do I believe he can beat any of them?

He has a chance but I wouldn't bet on it.

I'd favor him in a fight with Hatton at this point. This is a guy who ate everything a damn near light heavyweight in Daniel Santos hit him with...I don't think Ricky would be able to hurt him or anything.

His length would give Hatton a lot of trouble...and he only picks up steam in the later rounds. Tough call but I think he'd pound out a decision or stop Hatton on cuts because he's the bigger, stronger fights.

I'd take DLH and Mayweather over him though...

I think Hatton would be too quick for him and just outwork him with his faster hands. I wouldn't be surprised if we see something like Calzaghe/Lacy with the quicker fighter outlanding the slower wide looping puncher with ease.

Hatton would be giving up size and some strength but I think he can get inside easy and **** the body and do what he does best.

I just don't think I've seen enough of Hatton to come to a decision as to whether he could avoid being hit on the way in. Margarito is a lot rangier than Tszyu and I have to believe he'd make Hatton pay when Hatton closed in on him for a body attack. The Hatton defense is still a bit of a ? to me.

Also, only difference with Calz/Lacy and here is that Hatton would probably be coming forward, as he's the smaller guy with shorter reach.

Hatton has a decent defense. He uses good head movement in order to avoid punches while getting inside. Margarito does have the reach advantage but I still believe he is too slow to completely stop Hatton from getting inside. Margarito will land punches but not enough to really slow Hatton down in my opinion.

Margarito has good power but it's more of a beat you down type power than really one punch.

I have to admit that after seeing this Margarito guy for a couple of fights, I'd say he's a very dangerous and extremely unpredicable fighter.

People have been talking that Margie is being ducked and all, and it is arguable that it is so. Margie has a strong chin, a swarming type of offense and a very nasty punch.

Anyone who says that Margarito is overrated is either blind or not seeing this guy yet. He deserves a title shot. I wanna see him fight a Cotto or Hatton then maybe a PBF.
