It's not just the fast foot movement but the overall movement, the shoulder, the head movement, the strategy, the ring intelligence, quickness, and the tenacity and will to win. the sting and pop in his accurate punching doesn't help his opponents either. Face it he does have the tools. And yes anyone that lace the up is beatable.

Maidana only has his self to blame... had 2 chances, and everyone and their momma knows that you arent going to outbox floyd, so you need to go balls-2-the-wall and just attack floyd nonstop..

          Floyd beat Cotto already.

Almost every time Maidana got into position to attack Floyd on the inside last night, he was either held or Bayless broke the action.

Maidana thinks he won because he felt he landed the harder punches and did more damage. All debate on that aside, let's say it is the case (I would say most rounds Maidana probably did land the hardest shots in most rounds). The issue is that judging isn't done on who landed the hardest shot - but a combination of who landed the most, landed the best shots, and boxed best over a full round.

Maidana did nothing for the majority of most rounds whilst Floyd span and clipped him. Mayweather didn't take time off in rounds, so he won them. He literally outworked Maidana, and clearly so.

Maybe Floyd's crisp, fast shots weren't hurtful, but they were landing.

Actually I thought Maidana took 4 rounds, but I couldn't see any more. He did, at times, make Mayweather miss more than the commentators gave him credit for, but he just was not doing enough and certainly didn't leave 100% in the ring. He actually, whilst technically better, performed worse in the 2nd fight. Whether you credit Mayweather with that or not is up to you but I didn't see Maidana busting a gut to close the distance. Then again, whenever he did Kenny Bayliss stepped in to break them.

Maidana, you lost. Twice! This time he made you look worse than an amateur. Just accept defeat and move on with your career and big pay days...

One dimensional.....It's a shame that Maidana couldn't work without May lying on the ropes for him.

A guy not being able to fight Floyd on the outside doesn't mean he's one-dimensional. Unless you have exceptional handspeed it's pretty much impossible to beat Floyd from that range.

Maidana had to fight Floyd on the inside to beat him, and Kenny Bayless insured that he couldn't do it.
