Yes. As part of his contract renewal, hbo agreed to help arum pay Pac his $20mil guarantee per fight so long as he signed a contract to fight exclusively on HBO

      Today. You have excuses.

Too bad that stadium wasn't built so Pac wouldn't have to fight in some dark alley of the Earth.
The past negotiations were fair on Floyds part. We are talking about right now. Has to sign to mayweather promotions and drop hbo? What the ****?

EXACTLY. Show has been extremely pro Floyd since he signed the contract. They've only had nice things to say about him, even started wasting air space by showcasing his C-class stable of fighters. But all of a sudden he's ambushed by their spokesperson with questions about Pac (which they know he hates) and talking about how both HBO and Show are on board for the fight?

They're putting the screws to him because they're tired of paying out $35 million in main even purses for glorified sparring matches that lose them millions. It's gotten to the point where the head of CBS is personally meeting with Arum to try to get this done.

You're so corny. I'm still waiting for your corny behind to explain how Pacquiao is in a position to call anything. Sorry ****s, that ship has sailed.

You had excuses when it was 50-50.

        Excuses when it was $40m.

        Excuses now.

When are you going to stop making excuses for your lil hero?
What demands has Manny made lately, exactly? Only person who is trying to 'call' anything is Mr. Roadblock himself

He knows Pacquiao is under contract with both Top Rank and HBO... so naturally instead of saying 'thanks, but no thanks', he's going about it in a roundabout way.

Answer this- why would it matter to Floyd which networks are involved as long as he gets his monster payday? Wouldn't it be beneficial for all involved if CBS (Showtime, etc) and Time Warner (HBO, TBS, etc) combined their promotional muscle to squeeze out every last cent possible?

I can't think of any logical reason for why HBO being involved would be a deal killer for Floyd... But maybe you have some ideas. Throw some out there.

Negotiotiations for every business deal always transition smoothly, there's never any disagreements or breakdowns

$40mil was an insulting offer. It included 0%PPV which is pathetic, and before you blab on about it being Pac's biggest Payday, don't forget that it is also Floyd's.

Funny how those past negotiations were considered unfair at the time they were offered. Kinda like this one.

It would be nice if the networks and promotets held hands and sang Kumbaya. But make no mistake about it, Mayweather is in a position to call those shots and ain't **** Pacquiao can do about it because he is the B-side, regardless to what a bunch of whiny fangirls complain about on the net.

As I posted. No one is saying Pacquiao is the bigger draw, but Mayweather isn't that much more of a draw that Pacquiao must submit to every single demand.

Why would Pacquiao accept 40 million flat fee, for a fight that at the time was expected to generate 300 million?

Why did Pacquiao have to give in to testing demands that no other Mayweather opponent up into that point had to give in to?

Why does Pacquiao have to leave Arum and sign with Mayweather Promotions, when neither Canelo, Ortiz, nor Maidana did?

Why does Pacquiao have to avenge his loss to Marquez, but Maidana didn't have to avenge anything to Alexander?

You ever ask yourself these questions, or are you too busy making the next excuse?

Insulting, eh? True. Pacquiao makes that much typically.

Let's mention again that ARIZA, who was working for Pac at the time said that Pac could've negotiated, BUT DIDN'T. Floyd confirmed that the 40 mil was a low ball bid and expected him to negotiate. So, if he wanted the fight so bad, why didn't he? Floyd is supposed to be the illiterate one here, isn't he?

"Arum said he remained open to making a fight with pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather and said the contract with Pacquiao does not preclude it. He said if the fight occurs before the end of 2015, it could be on both Showtime and HBO, as was the 2002 pay-per-view match between Mike Tyson, who was then exclusively with Showtime, and Lennox Lewis, who was exclusively with HBO."
And Showtime made sure to interview Lewis and Tyson together before the main event. That, along with Gray ambushing Floyd post fight, was no accident. They are actively trying to make the fight happen and HBO is on board. Only person who has no interest is Mr. Roadblock.
