In 2009, Manny hadn't turned down 50/50, had his promoter's brother in law say a cut prevented a May fight, had his promoter say the fight needed a new stadium to be built, and had not turned down a guaranteed amount that was 42% more than Manny had ever made with the bulk of the ppv revenue share.

The things you call "roadblocks" have never prevented any other fight in history-more to the point-they never stopped manny's opponents from fighting him when manny and his team made them.

Well round two of negotiations doesn't indicate that the initial 50/50 offer was genuine.

Why was the second offer so drastically different? Because he knew they would not accept it. Because he didn't want the fight.
