I TOTALLY disagree! Now the WBA has 3 heavyweight champs. WBA is the worst of all these alphabet organizations. Ok so now Ruslan will fight Ortiz and the winner get Klitschko.......As expected Klitchko wins. Now there will ANOTHER fight to determine another WBA heavyweight champion (and another interim). All for the sake of WBA gaining profit from sanctioning fees and making these boxers think they're a heavyweight champ. Wlad' has already beaten 2 other WBA champs in Haye and Povetkin and now he has to fight another fake "champ". Whether you like him or not Wlad is the real heavyweight champ. To be the REAL champion you must defeat him.

This should be a good fight if Chagaev gets in shape, just ignore the "titles". The only problem is it´s two southpaws.. makes my head hurt trying to figure out what´s really happening

Great fight. By beating Chagaev, Ortiz will prove... what exactly?

Joking aside, it's a logical next step for Ortiz. My only issue with it is that it's a "title" fight. The biggest joke of all is that Chagaev is a titlist. He's seven years removed from his last significant win.

These interim and regular titles are a joke but at least they are forcing people to fight other 'ranked' fighters. By fighting Chagaev, Ortiz is at least fighting somebody with the skills to turn him back. The same as Stiverne beating Arreola and now fighting Wilder, at least people are starting to step their game up and gain experience before they fight THE CHAMP. These titles mightn't mean anything in the scheme of determining a true heavyweight Champ, but they obviously mean enough to the fighters to get them to take risky fights.

Wow Chagaev is gonna be dwarfed in this battle! He will lose if he doesn't drop around 20lbs in fat!

Chagaev (hasn't beaten anyone of note since 2007) vs Oquendo (40 years old, was never a title level guy) being a world title fight was still a sad joke.

This would've been VERY interesting ...in 2009. Right now Chagaev is so fat and so used up. But he's still durable and savvy. He'd be a good gatekeeper for Ortiz I guess-better than Kayode. Chag probably still squeaks by anyone who isn't a legit contender. Guess that's what this will show if Ortiz is a legit contender. I think he is so I gotta go with him on this one. How we have an interim fight two months after a regular fight and-f**k the WBA. This is so ******. But at least Ortiz will have to fight a real HW name to see what's up.

Klitschko will again get another "injury" to postpone a fight if luis ortiz is his mandatory.
