Throwing bottles and drinks at Hagler was a very lasting impression for me. It was very embarrasing.
British fight crowds: best in boxing

Oooh ok, so because fans acted poorly once and it happened to be in England, this is the reason why you say they arent "the best crowd"?Originally posted by SnoopySmurfHere was the Subject: British fight crowds: best in boxing
And this is why I disagree:
^ I didn't say they are the "worst". I said they are not the best. Stereotypes are created by the perpetuating masses. There is some truth to it. I'm sorry you didn't know.
I think that summarises your logic --- ****ed.Comment

So who compared the golota thing to the Gman thing then?Originally posted by metroexiusi gotta say, yelling you wish a man would die who sacrificed himself for your entertainment, (G-man) is prtty bad..comparing what americans did to golata to things like that, is like comparing jason litzau to floyd mayweather,...the diss on g-man was much harder

you used golata as a cop out to say american fans were worse, or as bad, as we are
gotta admit we're primalComment

You really havent started well here, have you?Originally posted by metroexiusyou used golata as a cop out to say american fans were worse, or as bad, as we are

Firstly, you didnt answer my question. Secondly, I never used the Golota example to show that "american fans were worse". I used that example to show that there are hooligans everywhere... now move on, and make sure that 90% of your posts arent about me in the future.Comment

Metro mentioned about Gman and the classless "hope you die" remarks by the crowd. Then there's the Injin Chi match where the fans were shouting derogatory insults about Asians. I admit, I don't see too many big fights from the UK. Perhaps there are more. But you know what? This doesn't surprise me about crazy sports fans in the UK. I'm not saying that ALL UK fans are bad...but enough of them generate lot of bad press about themselves. Don't blame me if your own BBC reports it world wide.Originally posted by EXIGEMore examples please.
The boxing in England have been for the most part calm. They are more boisterous with their chants than the American fans. In America, it's MEXICO! Mexico or USA! USA! or some simple stuff like that. It's cool to hear that from your fans something much different. But when I saw Hagler win by TKO and got pelted with bottles and chairs, it will always be ingrained in my mind.
Nothing you say will make me forget. It's true, that is the worst it ever got - for a boxing match. As for your other sports....damn.Comment

Yup that pretty bad. Very childish fans.Originally posted by Moschino045yeh but we can get carried away in britain, like every body cheering when GMAN was on a stretcher, that was sick,
When GMAN collapsed in the corner , fans were shouting "die you bastard, die!"
plus the national anthems of other counties & brits always boo,
We have mostly scum fans to be honest !Comment

It all boils down to the fact that hooligans are everywhere. You have given examples, I have given examples. Both sets of examples are a disgrace to the sport and a disgrace to the fighters that make up the sport.
