    nah

if the Castillo, Miguel, and Marcos fights taught us anything

it's educated pressure that can scratch some rounds off of Floyd

this whole jabbing outside fighters troubling Floyd is some bull**** that was misinterpreted because Roger May said you need a jab to fight Floyd

even a notorious jabber like Oscar primarily had his success pressuring, he just did it behind his jab

OP is nuts, realize that algieri has one name on his resume, and struggled mightily against a one dimensional fighter.

he is not a great fighter nor elite, you're buying the hype from bob aurm

I think he can potentially give problems but I think Pacs boxing ability is underrated. I think Pac can outbox Algieri.

Algieri hasn't got the experience but you can never count out an underdog in a match up like this.

I’ve seen most of his fights and I dare say Algieri has what it takes to win the fight against Manny. He got above average footwork, busy left hand jabs, moves his head regularly, creates nice feints, good lateral movements, decent speed, sound combinations from head to body hooks, and at times I see him creating nice angles. The man knows boxing. All of these plus his good looks and a little luck, could catapult him to stardom.

Arum, I am sure knows what is the potential here.

Pacquiao will KO this kid, unless Algieri goes the Mosley way and goes on survival mode.

A busy left hand could be a bad move for Algieri especially against Manny's quick straight left.

that one dimension doesn't happen to be a dimension manny excels in

I think Chris Algieri's height "advantage" is going to work against him. He's going to have a lot of trouble landing on pacquiao and once manny gets under that jab he's going to unleash his lethal combos. I don't know about a knockout but it's going to resemble the ODLH fight at times and it all depends on how good Algieri's chin is, because everyone knows Oscar's is granite.

                    He's in trouble.

He's not mixed any where near this level.
I agree, Algieri has a good style and is a decent mover with a good jab but you need more than that to beat Pac. After a round or two, once Pac sees that he has taken Algieri's best shot or at least gotten a sense for the type of power to look out for, he will press the action and Algieri will simply be outgunned. Pac probably takes his foot off the gas around rd 8 or 9 once he has established a commanding lead and has Algieri beaten up pretty good.

No doubt Algieri is a solid, athletic fighter. He doesn't have the skill-set to trouble Manny though, imo.
