Algeiri is going to be a huge welter, harking back to the days of guys like Leonard and Hearns. Just hope he has the skill too. From what I've seen he's quick, elusive at times and throws a very good jab but Manny is a great fighter, the first one Algeiri has ever fought. This should be a competitive fight.

I don't think Manny will fare well against a tall mover. Margarito was tall but he was come forward fighter that has horrible defense. Something Manny loved. Algieri who is a pure boxer will most likely like to use his height and reach to his advantage to keep Manny at the end of his jab. If Manny can take away Chris's jab then we will see what Manny can do. I honestly don't like this fight and I'm even contemplating paying for it...

Damn....Algieri was also on Fox Busines News again today, guy is all over the place. The interviewer asks Algieri about the current NFL scandals. This was aired today as well. One thing nobody can deny...he is GREAT for the sport!

His strength helped him in the Provodnikov fight when Prov was trying to throw inside and Algieri kept smothering him, pushing off, basically totally controlling the distance. Muscle isn't just for throwing punches. I agree he does need more pop for this fight though. Catching Manny is the only thing that slows him down.
