Golovkin was elevated to Super Champ. Quillin was demoted to Super Chump.

Somehow people will still defend Al Haymon. How can you do that?

This was Haymon, making a chess move at PQ's expense. PQ is just following the script like a beetch azz.

The funny thing is, they arent even trying hard to hide it. PQ is an idiot of the first degree.

I kind of feel bad for Pete, I've always enjoyed his fights and alot of his early interviews he always came across as a cool dude. But now he's coming across a little too simple. Sure Haymon likely paid him some step aside money to let go of his belt, then got him a title shot against Jacobs, and promised him a title shot against Jermain Taylor if Taylor's beats Soliman, and then he'd have to beat the winner of N'Dam/Stevens, but that's alot of sequential things that need to go his way for the pay off to work. Even then, there's substantial damage to his brand, and a fighter's brand is far greater than their record.
Meantime Andrade/Korobov go on and fill that niche as the other top MW to one day oppose Golovkin. Pete had bragging rights as the other top MW, and he lost that w/o a fight.

I see him beating Jacobs, but I don't see Taylor with his medical history, legal trouble, and ring rust beating Soliman. And I don't think Haymon will play ball with Hyrunov when it comes time to settle the WBA interm/regular title. There'll be no Cotto, Alvarez, Mayweather payday down the road for Quillin, that's a laugh. Had he fought Korobov on HBO and won, he'd have commanded a much stronger future. Instead, Danny Jacobs, Caleb Traux, and step aside money combined will probably net him the $1.4mill he turned down.

I honestly think Jacobs would beat him. Gabe had him backing up and hurt a few times until the cut. He couldnt get his last oppoent out of there which was some bum ass unheard of dude that stood in front off him. HE knocked down that french dude like so many times and the fight was still up in the air come the 12th round. Hes not that good, jacobs beats him IMO (would be a ggod fight but). He def should of took that 1.4mil wtf his career has become a mess real quick.

He was somewhat relevant with a belt, but know he lost a heaps of fans and is fast becoming irrelevant.

But Jacobs hasn't even fought guys as good as the one's that gave Quillin trouble, except Pirog and Danny lost almost every round until he was KO'd. Danny looked hesitant with Fletcher and he went wild against Lorenzo after the cutt. Konecny was better than both those guys.

Rosado had alot of confidence coming off his fights with good competition and Peter was winning the first half of that fight pretty easy, even dropping and hurting Rosado. And Danny hasn't shown the boxing ability or recuperative ability of N'Dam. I like Danny, but I don't see him having a long stay in the top 10.

Yeah its true what you say i agree. Who did you think was going to win Quillin or Korobov? I honestly dont think Peter will be around that much longer either but with Haymons help and champions like Solimon and jacobs he may stay around a little long. He wont fight or beat golovkin. He will never get a shot at cotto without his belt now either.
Curtis Stevens would give him trouble I think.
