Joe wants money now he is all about money and always has been, and now he can earn the big bucks of the back of this, he is 33 and he has max three fights left his left hand on the verge of packing up full time, he needs to build up his pension fund. So Roy Jones Jr, and Tarver....maybe Clinton Woods if RJJ ****s Joe yet again. Joe won't fight Kessler when he can fight RJJ or Tarver and get paid handsomely for it.

          Who should he have fought?

And as for fighting outside Europe, i always say thats crap.

Hes the champion, he has every right to fight where he wants. Maybe if he wanted recognition in America, he should have fought there. But against who?

Im not sure the interest was ever there in the US for him to sell out any venues.
It makes sense for him to fight at home.

Plus he has always known he was good. So much so that i always felt he was an arrogant bastard. But he has calmed down a bit since then.

Calzaghe knows he is good, you don't go back to your corner and say 'his powers ****, he's ****' after one round in the biggest fight of your life if you dont think your special.

not to mention Kessler who many people on this fight speak very quitly around because the man is a world champ has beaten solid comp is only 26 and has no weakness in his game ya that sounds like a weak divison to me not to mention that there are some of the young middle waits and good prospects that will move up to SM boy you don't know ****. If your going to come back at me like I don't know **** why don't you ask others on this site and bow down

Sorry to get off topic, is joe as good as he thought he was I say yes. Hes a fighter of course he is as good as he thinks he is that is part of the mental preperation for fighting. You have to have that steele confidence the kind that is going to allow you to be on your game and if a curveball is thrown at you the mental ability to fight through it. Joe is just one of those guys that his mind fights to the level of his compotiton. He had lapses in some of his fights agiest weaker oppenents because he could not get up for the fight. This is nothing new to the sport of boxing legends have lost fights agienst infearor comp because they were not mentally ready to fight. The nice thing about Joe who I do like I just like Lacy so much better is that if his hands hold up he is a young almost 34. He has never taken real punishment. You guys saw him in the fight he looked like a prospect getting a shot at a belt agienst a fighter he knows he can woop that was how Joe's mind was that fight. He was full of vison and clarity the type of focus that can split hairs. It was the mental state of ali verse forman of lenard vs hagler of pac man verses barrera that was the state joe was in saturday night
