Ruenroeng is a physical boxer. He is very talented but doesn't mind getting physical in the ring. He tends to shoot 2-3 punches and then clinches to rack up points and avoid serious risks. He works behind the jab well too so it wasn't going to be easy. Hope the fight wasn't too dull, I'm hoping for a decent catch.

Damn, better luck next time. I usually miss some major fights from the US because they are on during Sunday mornings here. Wish they had a channel where you could catch any fight from anywhere in the world. That would be amazing…

BeIN is working on that.... or at least it seems.

I was supposed to wake up early but slept in. Was able to catch the Roman/Yaegashi, but couldn't do it today, haha

Scoring was fine. I thought Ruenroeng won it close. He's good but not much fun to watch sometimes. He clutches and leverages the way Hopkins and Wlad often do with the same ugly results. Maybe we should call him Wladnat Hoproeng.

It doesn't have to be pretty to work. He's going to be a bear for as long as he has his legs. Time will how long that is for a 34 year old Fly.

Had Arroyo won by same scores, it would've been fine as well. Close (and ugly) fight, both could've done more, but especially Arroyo, who really didn't do much at all after the knockdown. He had Ruenroeng hurt, and inexplicably let him back into the fight.
Arroyo landed the better shots, was more accurate and more effective. Roenrueng after the 9th did not but hold for dear life.

I had it 115-11 for Arroyo rounds (2,5,6,7,10,11,12) for Arroyo plus the 2 extra points!

When you see a 115-114 scorecard you know something fishy is going on.

After watching the fight, it was a close fight indeed. I'm okay with the result as well. Arroyo had him hurt after the KD but didn't capitalize, after that Ruenroeng made sure it wouldn't happen again and smothered Arroyo's attack efficiently, for the most part.

The times Arroyo was able to land clean punches he seems to discomfort the champion, however there wasn't enough activity to sway the judges in favor of the challenger. I enjoy watching Amnat but this fight was a tad bit too physical. It was evident by the hug fest in the 10th round after Amnat falls on top of Arroyo As well as the constant pushing and shoving Amnat is accustomed to do. Hopefully Arroyo uses this as a learning experience and next time follows through when his opponent is damn near out of the fight.

By the way it's interesting to note that both Hopkins and Amnat served time in jail. In fact Amnat picked up boxing in jail and did so well the government ended up lending a hand in order for him to achieve great heights. He went from being a common thief to a world champion, interesting stuff. With 3 strong names on his resume, Amnat is look like a solid Champion in a very deep division.
