Chino's boxing is actually a lot more crude than Matthysse's, but he's more willing to take what's available than Lucas is. He doesn't hang around. I think for Matthysse, hanging around in front of Broner would be a bad idea. Matthysse has done well against fast fighters before, but he hasn't faced anyone who puts his shots together as well as Broner does, if you give him the opportunity.

That's an interesting parallel between Lucas and Broner actually. I don't think either guy's style fully capitalises on their ability. Lucas, with his low centre of gravity, power, and chin would be more effective if he threw with more volume and forced his opponent to work more.

Similarly, Broner's handspeed and combination punching would be better used if he fought in an offensive posture instead of trying to be a counter-puncher he doesn't have the instincts to be.

Broner's a very good combination puncher when his opponent offers him a target. Better than most.

Maidana uses his size and weight to beat fighters, Lucas uses his power and boxing ability. They are 2 totally different fighters. This will be a totally different fight.
Haha so maidanas wins have. Come from his weight? Broner had trouble with someone he was supose to beat easily yet had a tough time with him

Like I said many times, Broner rarely counters. Meaning, he rarely throws punches a split second after his opponent had thrown his. (That's counter punching in it's most basic meaning.) Broner waits before he strikes. And that's his flaw. He's proned to retreat and being slammed on the ropes.

If it happens that the opponent decides to go for broke and take advantage of Broner's inactivity, he's done.

It almost seems like he waits for his opponent to run out of gas, then his bullying starts, walk him down and go for the finishing touches. If he can't do that with Taylor, how is he supposed to do that with Matthysse?

Hes a good boxer puncher that tends to get wild at times

When he keeps himself composed, you get demolition jobs like the peterson fight

When broner comes forward throwing punches he's so much more effective. Taylor said Broners handspeed really bothered him

The reason why I favor lucas over Adrien is because AB doesn't take advantage of lucas' biggest weakness: he freezes and 'hangs out' when his opponent throws combinations

This fight would be a lot closer than anyone is willing to give Broner credit for. Here's why:

Mathysse is no Maidana. Although he is strong, he has a very composed, calculated method to his madness.

This would allow Broner time to think and plant his feet and set up his offense.

As aforementioned, Mathysse is strong however, Broner is tough. I think those two factors would nullify anyone "getting hurt," as Robert Garcia is suggesting.

Thus creating a good fight, imo.

There you have it folks, another great break down from Seek.
