Awesome fight! I have Matthysse winning but I don't think it would be easy. We all crack jokes on AB but he can take and give punches pretty well. Sure he got rag dolled against Maidana but Maidana is a tough fight for anyone when in optimal shape. Plus Adrien was making a decent comeback and according to Maidana, he hits pretty hard.

Matthysse in a war, unless Broner fakes excruciating pain and rolls around the ring for a few minutes and manages to get a DQ lol.

honestly im bias but i honestly dont get it. He will literally fight anyone he is not scarred to lose like people assume and he dont duck. i mean seriously who calls out the machine did u see the haymon crew when he said it after the fight lol that should make people like ab by itself

Thats why I put ? Matthysse hits harder than maidana, but he is smaller than him. I still give props to broner for actually wanting to fight him, which I think is something that boxers should do more often. I reality, I hope he wins only if he keeps calling out the best available fighters.

broner wins. lucas isnt as aggresive as maidana and doesnt swarm his opponents the same. maidana knows how to change his punches midway and catches you off guard .

Smh a guy who comes in weighing 155 on fight night is not stronger than a guy who comes in weighing 165. Where do u guys make this stuff up from? Maidana uses his size and weight to beat fighters, Lucas uses his power and boxing ability. They are 2 totally different fighters. This will be a totally different fight.

I was just thinking the same thing - the one thing they have in common is devastating punch delivery - and I am giving broner his props 1) he leaped from 135 - 147 and his 2nd fight is against Maidana...and now he is calling out the Machine... Hmmmm can we say dare to be great. The Machine is a far better boxer than given credit - if he was just a brawler, Molina would have KO'd him or made it waay more difficult, Lucas had to break him down, and BOX him. Both are tough fights for him, the kid definitely has Moxy.

Matthysse was winning the fight before his eye closed. Ya his eye closed, part of boxing, blah blah.

If his eye doesnt close though. He wins comfortably.Garcia is tougher then most people thought so I doubt Matthysse stops him.

Broner simply can't adjust as soon as something lands he starts to retreat real quick on the back foot.

You don't have to land anything on Broner to make him retreat. He's desperate for distance. He pushes you when he's not getting it, in which he's warned by the ref. How can a guy like Taylor with limited power able to intimidate Broner and successfully trap him on the ropes? Can you imagine Matthysse not being able to end the fight when Broner is on the ropes?

I won't be surprised if Broner eventually avoids this fight.

If Broner sticks to boxing and avoids exchanges with Lucas, he will win.

People hating on Matthysse due to his KD's against Molina and his loss against Garcia, forgetting that Maidana went down a few times against Ortiz and also Khan once.

That makes their punch resistance even, as I consider Molina a bigger puncher than Ortiz.

Anyway Broner gets obliterated within 7 rounds, he might have held up to Maidanas onslaught but Matthysse is much more precise and accurate with similar if not harder P4P punching.
