Matthysse was winning the fight before his eye closed. Ya his eye closed, part of boxing, blah blah.

If his eye doesnt close though. He wins comfortably.Garcia is tougher then most people thought so I doubt Matthysse stops him.

Not sure why your so down on your judgement. The fight was still close.

Because I have never acted as sure about a fight as I was about Lucas beating Garcia. Kind of hard not to second guess myself after that.

Believe me, I would pick Matthysse to beat Broner the second the fight is announced. Just not as confidently as I might have at one time.

Broner v Lucas is the classic example of how NSB bases a fight not off what they've seen from each fighter, but how they feel about each fighter.

Broner isn't as good as HE thinks he is. Lucas isn't as good as NSB wants him to be.

Look forward to this fight if it happens because both guys are getting a 2nd chance to make the leap to the next level.

Just based off the way they've performed lately Matthysse should be able to wreck Broner.

He's too inactive and doesn't counter nearly enough to keep a guy like Matthysse honest. His defense is average at best and he's too stationary to sustain an onslaught attack from a power puncher.

Smh a guy who comes in weighing 155 on fight night is not stronger than a guy who comes in weighing 165. Where do u guys make this stuff up from? Maidana uses his size and weight to beat fighters, Lucas uses his power and boxing ability. They are 2 totally different fighters. This will be a totally different fight.

The real question is why does Broner want to fight him? Somebody has to be telling him, "yo, you go a minute and thirty seconds without throwing a punch sometimes"......If Broner was a different style of fighter, I see him stopping Matthysse. But he can't seem to change and though I think of Lucas as being pretty average. I think he hurts Broner and bad. I mean if you can't hurt the little Molina, what you gonna do with Lucas. But big respect for him wanting the fight. I hope he pulls it off.
