Completely destroying him, they have a large fan base of causal fans or people who don't watch boxing and don't know this about Floyd. His image i would think takes a bigger hit from people who where unaware, not good especially with his PPV fight coming up.

Floyd doesn't understand the fact that the NFL got it wrong the first time. The release of the tape to the public (I believe the NFL already saw the tape) gave them the opportunity to fix their error. Normally, there would be outrage if a player got suspended a few games and then suspended for a longer time for the same offense but this time it was clearly justified. The NFLPA and all the players understand this point. It's foolish to even argue on Rice's behalf and if you do so you run the risk of looking like a Rice supporter. Floyd has a history of violence towards women and no remorse shown (or very little). He should never speak in length on this topic.

Both Floyd and Rice need help when it comes to anger and violence towards women. I think Rice will get that help and the NFL/Ravens will guide him towards getting help. I don't see Floyd getting any help at all.

It's worth noting that while Floyd is defending Ray Rice, the union that Rice is a member of (the NFL Players Association) isn't even defending him.
