Ortiz deserves a rematch more than Mathysse deserves one with Garcia.

I think he ref ****ed up,the guy deserved to keep fighting, Ortiz could've continued, but it was also his fault for waiting until the last second to get up.

Lol the refs an @sshole. Once he got to 9 and saw him on his way up he immediately said 10 most refs or any professional ref woulda let him get up and check to see if he was good to go.

He was not hurt, he stood up in between 9 and 10. Ref should have let the fight go on for the sake of the fans in attendance and viewers watching. Boxing has clearly taken a hit in the recent year or two, with fights on both HBO and Showtime struggling to hit 1 million. and even decent/big PPV fights aren't selling what they should be selling. Results like these put people off who paid to see Matthysse or who only paid because there were two good fights on the card, Matthysse-Ortiz and Broner-Taylor.

It's not the ref's job to help ticket sales, ref's are not in charge of marketing or fan retention, but they should do a better job in bigger events like these, they just can't stop a fight in the 1st-3rd round when the fighter being stopped is perfectly fine and up. Seriously, it puts fans off.

For the record, I, like everyone else, saw an eventual KO by Matthysse. But let the KO happen, why force it as the ref? A fighter is probably going to lose by TKO, let the real TKO happen and don't try to be the hero, trying to over-officiate.

That's just a risk you take when by your own admission you "milk the count".

Groves could have acted like he was "just miling the count" when he got up at the last second of the Froch KO but instead he was honest and said he would've been done anyway.
