Doesn't really work because Americans are very large people and doing nothing in the heavier divisions either.

Boxing in the US has always been treated more like a freakshow/spectacle than a sport. The current TMZ/Floyd circus has continued that tradition.

In Europe/Mexico/etc it's treated more like an actual sport so it's not surprising people pay more attention to non-"flagship" weight divisions/

But if they heavier divisions had just one fourth of the talent the flyweights currently have, the entire world and their Mothers would be creaming themselves.

This past weekend we had 3 massive fights below 126 and damn near no buzz has came since. A few weeks back we had the Strawweight division put on a classic unification fight that the media overlooked. It's almost like an unjust biased against the smaller men of the sport.

Whether a fighter is a champion at 105 or a contender that weighs as much as 240, they are all athletes that represent our sport. Also, I feel like all the champions of the sport should receive equal coverage and exposure, they work just as hard if not harder down there to make a name for themselves. I remember seeing an interview of Roman Gonzalez a few years back and his living condition is not what one would expect from such a praised fighter. They fight hard to survive down there and even harder to make atleast a decent living.
