I don't like how people just blame Haymon and absolve Quillin. Fighters don't have to put their careers unquestionably in the hands of their promoters or managers. Quillin, quite honestly, is either the biggest, most ******ed tool in boxing or he enjoys not having to fight anyone worth a damn. Either way he's to blame just as much as Haymon.

They might, dunno. i think Don King is thinking this and has refused to make any deal going to purse bid. Now if he does go through with the fight and Roc puts up money, Stiverne is the traveling champ, that's like an extra 5-10 percent I think.

It would surprise me too but Haymon does have a knack of getting ridiculously high purses for his fighters. Besides I fancy Quillin will knockout Jacobs and he can then be put back on an Al Haymon scholarship. Then again Quillin is an undercard fighter that looks more like someone that has been used to simply hold a title for someone else to take at a later date.

Boxing is not business in this case. Haymon simply don't want to deal with Jay Z. It's in the best (personal) interest of Haymon, not Quillin.

I think if they did fight in Brooklyn, I don't know if it'd be the main....because I think Garcia comes back around then and they'd stick it under there on Barcalys and call it a super stacked card. Every date past Oct 25, except for Nov 15th, is a HBO show that's actually pretty decent... so if they're going to make this a stand-alone... they have to stack it to the gills and put something on that they know people will watch, like Garcia

When I thought I couldn't dislike him any more, Quillin always proves me wrong

What made me scratch my head was when he said he wasn't even going to be taking all of the 1.4 million anyway.... but what he would've taken from that still would've been more than what he's made in the past.

Yeah it will probably be a co-feature on a Garcia card. Quillin has almost no fan base whatsoever, Jacobs has the whole feel good story stuff that makes him slightly interesting to the sentimental.

Quillin doesn't deserve to be a champ. I hope Jacobs Ko's him.
